The ICE STORM that hit us here in Oklahoma was not the worse one I’ve seen but it has made travel anywhere dangerous or impossible.
My husband has annoyed me to within an inch of his life. If I do not get out of the house and far away from him today, things may start to look like this:
Just shave ole Jack and give him some blonde hair and it’ll be me in the real life The Shining.
Scooter has been hanging out for the past 3 days inside the barn mostly. He doesnt like freezing rain anymore than I do.
Tomorrow is son #1’s 13th birthday. He has a basketball game out of town too. gah! that has put a kink in our birthday plans for the whole day.
Now for some really great news, I am sure you’ve all watched the National News about the recovery of the 2 MO boys who were kidnapped; OWNBY and HORNBECK . I have followed Hornbeck’s disappearance from the time he went missing 4 1/2 years ago. At one point I even agreed with speculation that maybe Hornbeck could have been a victim of the child predator and murderer Joseph E. Duncan III. I also followed Ownby’s disappearance when he went missing less than a week ago. The recovery of these 2 boys healthy and alive is a miracle. Ownby’s friend and neighbor, Mitch. who got the description down of the vehicle used in Ownby’s kidnapping provided Law Enforcement with the details to bring these boys home. Mitch deserves a HUGE thank you. Now lets hope this perp lives out the rest of his pathetic life in the general population of prison getting some special treatment from his prison peers.
Now this next story, Jack Whittaker: un-luckiest lottery winner ever . This man won nearly $315 million on Christmas 2002, back then the largest undivided lottery prize in U.S. history. He took his winnings in a lump sum of $113 million after taxes.
Since winning all this dough, Jack Whittaker has had to deal with:
his granddaughter’s death by drug overdose
he has been sued for bouncing checks at Atlantic City, N.J. casinos
he has been ordered to undergo rehab after being arrested on drunken driving charges
his vehicles and business have been burglarized
he was drugged in a Cross Lanes strippers club in 2003 by robbers who took more than $500,000 from his car
he has been sued by the father of an 18-year-old boy, a friend of his granddaughter’s, who was found dead in Whittaker’s house.
113 million dollars! Now this guy says he is broke because thiefs stole all of his money and cannot pay a settlement he is ordered to pay for assaulting a woman.
What an idiot!
